Great Britain; Promissary Note - 1937 £5 SCWPM# 335ax Ser # B/128 56774. LCG VF30 with pinholes. Forgery part of Operation Bernhard. An operation attempted by Nazi Germany to forge British notes and inundate the UK market to cause the potential collapse of the British economy during WWII. The process was never completed and full intentions never realized however, notes were introduced into the UK system at the time. Very interesting historical issue.
