Belgium 1.8.1906 P-70 PMG Very Fine 25 100 Francs
An extremely challenging type from Belgium, seen here with the first date of issue. A survey of publicly available auction records reveals just two examples of this type having been sold since 2010, with the last example selling in a European auction in 2016 in similar grade for the equivalent of $3100. While similar to later issues, this has the signatures hidden into the design as opposed to in the white area next to the bottom serial numbers. As such, a completely different design and surely missing from many collections. PMG mentions "Small tears, pinholes".
