The jugate portrait coinage of Demetrios I and his queen, Laodike V, from Seleukeia was perhaps a wedding issue, which was probably celebrated at Seleukeia shortly after Timarchos' defeat in 161. All of Demetrios' dual portrait issues, which were struck in all metals, are quite rare, those struck in bronze especially so.
