SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Demetrios II Nikator, first reign, 146-138 BC. (Bronze, 22 mm, 11.18 g, 12 h), Antioch on the Orontes, circa 146-145. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in right hand and resting bow in left; in exergue, two monograms. Cf. CSE 227. HGC 9, 992 (R1-2). SC 1912.1d or 1912.1e. Dark brown patina. The obverse struck somewhat off-center, otherwise, very fine.
