SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Tryphon, circa 142-138 BC. (Bronze, 18 mm, 5.19 g, 12 h), Antioch on the Orontes. Diademed head of Tryphon to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΤΡΥΦΟΝΟΣ ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΟΡΟΣ Spiked Macedonian helmet with large wild goat's horn and cheek guards left; to left, caps of the Dioskouroi. HGC 9, 1061 (S). CSE 259. SC 2034.2d. Brown patina, and with an exceptional helmet. Light cleaning marks on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
