Extremely rare seal of the historical and particularly influential brother of Constantine X Doukas. Nearly very fine.
John Doukas, was the only brother of Constantine X Doukas. He was elevated to the office of Caesar on 1060, and retained the title even after his brother passed, on 1067. He was one of the most important member of the court especially from 1067 until his death in 1088.
