DEXTERA · TVA · DOM · PERCVSSIT · INIMICVM · 1571 View of the battle of Lepanto: the Christian and Turkish fleets in battle, the latter sinking, the former afloat and guarded by an angel holding a cross and chalice; above, the half-length bust of Christ emerging from clouds, hurling lightning bolts towards the Turkish fleet below. Mazio 96. Attractive patina and sharply struck. A couple of minor die-breaks on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
