This moneyer was already a Senator in 74 BC (Cicero, Cluent. 127) but is otherwise unknown. This reverse type alludes to the beneficia conferred on Sicily by his grandfather, Mn. Aquillius, consul in 101 BC, responsible for ending the slave war.
