Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. AR Denarius (18mm, 3.44 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 179. Laureate head right / Salus seated left, feeding from patera snake coiled around and rising from altar to left. RIC III 403; MIR 18, 453-4/30; RSC 968. Tone with residual luster, tiny metal flaw in obverse field, a little reverse die wear. EF.
