BYZANTINE. Georgios. Imperial spatharokandidatos, 8th-9th century. PB Seal (33mm, 18.97 g, 12h). Cruciform invocative monogram; Tω Cω Δ(OY) Λω in quarters / +ΓЄωP/ΓIω B' CΠA/ΘAPOKAN/ΔIΔATω/AMHN in five lines. DO inv. BZS.1951.31.5.1903 (example broken; half preserved). Earthen tan and gray patina. Good VF. A well preserved example.
