A mounted yeoman on a horse galloping left; WARWICKSHIRE YEOMANRY around above followed by HANCOCK in small letters and inverted; ENROLLED JUNE 25 1794 below / PROMISSORY | PENNY TOKEN | ISSUED BY | THOMAS WELCH | SECOND TROOP | 1799. Plain edge. Uncirculated; even brown tone over fresh surfaces, traces of luster at the edges; very rare and choice; auction records reveal that many examples of this very limited-issue piece are in mishandled condition making choice examples particularly scarce.
