Bavaria. Ludwig I "Reapportionment" 2 Taler 1838 MS66 NGC, Munich mint, KM795, Dav-582, AKS-99, Thun-76. Commemorating the reapportionment of Bavaria, restoring the kingdom's historical divisions. An icy gem situated at the very top of the certified population for the type, a considerable achievement, given the much larger number of coins from Ludwig's commemorative series that have been handled by the two major grading services. The designs themselves are sharply cut and bathed by a russet and pearl mint bloom that emerges from the surrounding surfaces, allowing full appreciation of the piece from all angles.
