Bavaria. Ludwig II Taler 1866 MS66+ NGC, Munich mint, KM886.1, Dav-612, AKS-174, Thun-103. Variety without hair part. Arms with supporters reverse. Essentially blemish-free, and notably desirable as such, with the next finest at NGC being a mere MS63 by comparison. Though we have offered a finely toned MS65 previously, it hardly approaches the present piece in terms of overall surface preservation, which appears fully satin and tinged with a golden peripheral tone.
