Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg. Johann Friedrich 2/3 Taler (Gulden) 1675-RB MS64 NGC, Hannover mint, KM170, Dav-376, Knyphausen-2432, Welter-1729. Variety with date in legend and large "2/3" denomination. A pristine survivor distinguished by ample originality and fully struck-up features, undoubtedly rare in this state of preservation with the majority of examples coming to market having seen extensive use in circulation. Argent appearances decorate this near-gem, which, coupled with the desirable pedigree, will lead to elevated collector response when crossing the auction block.
