Boasting an undeniably superior visual quality for both the 17th-century series at large and the coinage of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel in particular, it is difficult not to be captivated by the aura of Prooflike luster emitting from this offering's exceptional, broad flan. Containing only the most minute evidence of surface wisps for its 330-year age, each and every facet of the design can be observed executed with the utmost care and attention, leaving textured stippling of the brothers' jugate busts while die polish embraces the arms that form the central motif of the reverse. Altogether missing as a type from the Millennia Collection, we would note that the Hesselgesser example certified as an MS62 by comparison. A treasure in every sense.
