Eichstätt - Bishopric. Sede Vacante Taler 1757-MF MS63 NGC, Nürnberg mint, KM75, Dav-2208, Schön-15, Cahn-133, Gebert-92. An ever-pleasing type to encounter, especially in Choice Mint State where the details of the intricately engraved designs can be fully appreciated. Most prominent are the fine style of the croziers and reverse shields, a clear indication of the skill employed by medalist Johann Leonhard Oexlein, who proudly signed the obverse dies "I.L. ŒXLEIN. fec." A superb piece through and through, punctuated by a uniform cerulean silhouette permeating the legends. Of appreciable quality and desirable pedigree, originating from the iconic Brand collection.
