Friedberg. Johann Maria Rudolph Taler 1804 GB-GH MS64 NGC, Frankfurt am Main mint, KM75, Dav-655, Thun-148, Lejeune-81. A highly collectible "Convention Taler" in a truly commendable conditional state, showcasing a bold St. George slaying a dragon atop surprisingly watery fields, lit ablaze at even the slightest flick of the wrist. Despite a weak central strike common to even finer representatives of the type, the peripheries remain crisp and decidedly strong, contributing to an advanced aesthetic caliber of this wholly desirable piece. Among the handful presently certified by NGC, only three best the current example, making for a scarce opportunity to acquire this issue so fine.
