Hall. Free City Taler 1712-GFN MS63 NGC, Nürnberg mint, KM17, Dav-2276, Schön-6 (this coin), Erlanger-2156, Raff-41. With the name and titles of Karl VI. An absolute sight to behold, not only as a technically challenging grade for a type that is coveted in uncirculated status, but also as a presentation with vastly superior eye appeal, both for the grade and type. Glassy to the extreme over soundly gunmetal surfaces, the level of detail expressed in the engraving is simply admirable, the play of light across the features only strengthening their medallic characteristics. Far above the one other we have handled (an AU Details), we would note than a PCGS-graded MS63 brought 2800 CHF in November 2019.
