Hesse-Darmstadt. Ludwig X Taler 1825-HR MS64 NGC, Darmstadt mint, KM292, Dav-700, AKS-72, Thun-193, Hoffmeister-4190. Very difficult to meaningfully improve, as is reinforced by the presence of none currently graded finer across NGC and PCGS. An airy metallic patina over champagne color characterizes the planchet, creating an especially in-depth eye appeal when coupled with the coin's natural luster. While we have offered one other in this grade previously, we would note that it showed pronounced annealing flaws over both sides.
