Lübeck. Free City Taler 1730-JJJ MS63 NGC, Lübeck mint, KM150, Dav-2416, Schön-22, J-33, Whiting-405. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession. Demonstrating an enchanting antique tone that melds slate with golden color, it would be nearly impossible not to consider this specimen exceptionally attractive, not least as a Choice Mint State representative. Exposed to the most mild cabinet rub, it is not difficult to see this piece as tailing the finest at NGC, which ranks a mere point finer.
