LYDIAN KINGDOM. Walwet (ca. 620-560 BC). EL sixth-stater or hecte (10mm, 2.34 gm). NGC XF 5/5 - 5/5. Lydo-Milesian standard, Sardes (?) mint. WALWET (Lydian), inscription between confronted lion heads, left fully visible on flan, forepart of right can be seen / Two incuse square punches of unequal size, side-by-side, with irregular interior surfaces. Weidauer Group XVII, 103. Decently centered for the type. Well struck on pale yellow surfaces.
