JUDAEA. Bar Kokhba Revolt (AD 132-135). AR sela (25mm, 14.54 gm, 1h). NGC Choice AU 4/5 - 4/5, overstruck. Dated Year 2 (AD 133/4). Jerusalem (Paleo-Hebrew), legend on either side of façade of the Jerusalem Temple, cross in pediment, the Ark of the Covenant seen from end in center of entrance / Year Two of the Freedom of Israel (Paleo-Hebrew), lulav with etrog at left. GBC 6, 6416a. GBC 5, 1387a. Solidly struck with traces of the host coin visible on both sides. Lustrous, with a golden sheen and violet-blue accents.

Hendin notes the subtype A with variations, specifically the orientation of the yod and the straight-edge style of the shin in the obverse legend.
