Diademed head of deified Alexander III right, with horn of Ammon; dotted border / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, Athena seated left, Nike in right hand crowning name, left arm resting on grounded shield decorated with gorgoneion boss, transverse spear beyond; AP in tiny letters in exergue. Müller -. Thompson -. Seemingly unpublished and the only example in sales archives. Outstanding portrait of Alexander, struck in high relief. Light lavender toning.
