Württemberg-Oels. Sylvius Friedrich Taler 1675-SP AU58 NGC, Oels mint, KM16, Dav-7889, Saurma-Jeltsch-211, F&S-2300. Samuel Pfahler as mintmaster. A fine cabinet piece of appreciable quality, blessed with a uniform pewter coating tinged by an undercurrent of champagne and lavender hues, the result of appropriate long-term storage in a clearly advanced collection. The devices retain generous articulation, with each curl of the sitter's portrait and details within the coat of arms fully struck up as intended across the expanses.
