A highly engaging representative from this immensely popular post-union series, with the majority of Anne 5 Guineas we see being of the pre-union vintage. Here we have a simply incredible survivor witnessed on the very cusp of a Mint State designation, precluded from such by a light dispersion of friction, yet still offering commendable visual appeal for the grade designation - a consequence of balanced circulation wear that leaves a uniform expression of struck detail, embellished by traces of residual mint luster and a mellowed patina.
