CANADA, Blacksmith tokens – regal types. CU Token (27mm, 4.62 g, 6h). Struck 1820s-1830s. Laureate and cuirassed bust of George III left / Harp left with angel head on tip of pillar; imitation 'die cracks' around. Wood, Blacksmith 12; Charlton BL-8. Brown surfaces with some spots of darker brown. Fine. An exceptional problem free example with minimal wear.

Rather than copying an official original, this die pair appears to copy other blacksmith tokens, particularly Wood 5, even going so far as to incorporate that issue's extensive die cracks into the design.
