This token was issued in 1821 for use by travellers between Quebec to Point Levis on the ferry Lauzon. Originally owned by John Goudie, the vessel was later sold to J. McKenzie, and ultimately to J. Thompson, both of whom countermarked the tokens (with J McK and J T respectively) to indicate the change of ownership.
