PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy V Epiphanes. 204-180 BC. Æ (35mm, 30.03 g, 12h). Contemporary imitation of Alexandreia mint, Series 6B. Head of Isis right, wearing wreath of grain ears, and her hair in long curls / Eagle with spread wings, standing left on thunderbolt; c/m: cornucopia within rectangular incuse. For prototype, cf. Svoronos 1234; cf. Faucher & Lorber Series 6B; cf. SNG Copenhagen 247–8. Brown surfaces, light deposits, off center. Good Fine. Rare imitation.
