Great Britain, temp. Hanover. The Counties of Great Britain WM Medal. Unknown maker in the style of Sir Edward Thomason, circa 1800. Geographical relief map of England and Wales with the counties delineated and numbered except the Isles of Man and Wight which are individually named; the Bristol Channel, St. George's Channel, the North Sea or German Ocean, the Thames Estuary and the English Channel are labelled respectively, with Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands and France (with Calais noted) are placed around the edge / MAP OF ENGLAND within central circular border, with the counties of England and Wales arranged anti-clockwise around and numbered to correspond to the obv.
