Obverse: Elements of the civic coat-of-arms of Manila: crown above tower and sealion left wielding sword; waves of Pasig River below; Reverse: Crowned royal coat-of-arms of Spain; star to left and right. A wholesome and immensely popular type, this lightly handled example presents a good deal of original luster remaining and is largely untoned save for some olive hints around the devices.
