Obverse: Edward, holding sword and shield, standing facing in ship with bowsprit; ornaments: -11-11, ropes: 3/2, quatrefoils: 3/2, lis: 4/3; Reverse: Voided short cross potent over cross fleuree; in each angle, crown over lion passant over trefoil; at center, C within quadrilobe; all within polylobe, with trefoils in spandrels. Highly elegant and attractive, this Calais product presents a choice overall appearance through golden-orange toning, a rather sharp strike, and excellent preservation.
