GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, ND (1627-8). London Mint; mm: castle (over cross Calvary)/castle. Charles I. PCGS EF-45.
S-2754; N-2191; Brooker-239 (same dies). Group 1, type 1b. Obverse: Charles, holding sword and reins, riding caparisoned horse trotting left; Reverse: Garnished square-topped coat-of-arms; Welsh plumes above. A fairly RARE and seldom-seen type, this elegant specimen features attractive gunmetal gray toning and an even strike throughout.
