CYPRUS, Kition. temp. Azbaal – Baalmelek II. Circa 449-400 BC. AR Stater (18mm, 10.60 g, 8h). Herakles, wearing lion skin, in fighting stance right, [holding club overhead and bow extended hand] / Lion attacking stag crouching right; [royal name above; all in dotted square within incuse square]. Cf. Zapiti & Michaelidou 5–8 and 11–2 (for type). Lightly toned, compact flan, some horn silver, struck with worn dies. Good Fine.
