ANGLO-SAXON, Secondary Sceattas. Circa 730-750. AR Sceatt (11mm, 1.12 g, 6h). Series R8. Mint in East Anglia (Ipswich). Radiate bust right with C-shaped ear; to left, Λ flanked by annulets; annulet and runic EA to right / 'Standard' with central annulet, chevrons in upper corners, diagonal lines in lower; crosses on each side, radiating line on each corner. Abramson 11-120; MEC 8 Series RSb; cf. North 157; SCBC 813A. Trace of lsuter, hairline flan split. Near EF.
