Frossard, Ed. NUMISMATIC AUCTION CATALOGUES. Twelve catalogues, dated: February 9, 1887; February 19, 1887; April 2, 1887; May 24-25, 1887; June 10, 1887; June 24, 1887; October 12-13, 1887; December 16-17, 1887; January 26-27, 1888; March 9-10, 1888; July 20, 1888; and December 26-28, 1888. All 8vo, original printed paper covers (last one bound in plain boards). Sale 80 (March 9-10, 1888) is one of 25 copies printed on thick paper; front cover of Sale 89 is detached. Generally very good. Adams 64-65, 68-71, 73, 75, 77, 80, 85 and 89. Sale 69 is Part III of the "Russian Collection," rated B+ overall by Adams. In it, Frossard writes that the collection "comprises the entire remainder of the large and fine Collection of Coins, etc., formed by Wm. B. Edwards, Esq., during a sojourn of twenty-eight years in various parts of the Russian Empire," stressing the importance of his ancient coins featured in the sale. Sale 89 is the Hart collection, one of the great all-time American sales of Canadian coins, tokens and medals.
