Haseltine, John W. AUCTION SALE CATALOGUES. Philadelphia & New York, 1870-1887. Thirteen catalogues, being Adams Nos. 1, 2, 3*, 4, 17, 22, 23, 24*, 36, 51*, 61, 84 and 86. The Sale 86 is the one originally listed by Adams, dated June 13, 1887. Sales 3, 24 and 51 are hand-priced. First catalogue 4to, rest 8vo, original printed paper covers. Generally very good or better. A supplementary group to the above Stack Family set. The two lots combined comprise 86 different Haseltine catalogues, being a nearly complete set of them. Present here are fewer of the numismatically important catalogues, but more of the rarities in the Haseltine series. Highlights include the January 31, 1897 sale of material derived from the Mickley collection, Haseltine's very rare Sale 61 (featuring antiquities), and his second Sale 86.
