Pittsburgh, 1853. 4to [27 by 19 cm], original lithographic printed yellow paper covers. 2 introductory pages; 8 leaves printed on one side only, each comprising lithographic facsimiles of 2 counterfeit bank notes with descriptive text; 14 pages, being the Coin Supplement to Sibbet's Western Review and Counterfeit Detector, illustrating over 200 coin designs. Entire volume affixed in later cardboard covers with hand-lettered cover; moderate wear; one coin plate page misprinted. Very good or so. The first edition published by the Kennedy Brothers, taking over from E. Sibbet & Co. Dillistin page 150. Very rare, and apparently the first copy of this edition that we have handled. Not in Davis, the Fuld library, or the American Numismatic Society Dictionary Catalogue. Ex Q. David Bowers Library.
