Two catalogues, bound in one volume. 8vo, later maroon half calf with marbled sides; spine ruled, lettered and decorated in gilt; original printed paper covers of main catalogue bound in [addenda self-covered, as issued]. Fine. Adams 2 in his listing of Bangs catalogues. Sage's most significant catalogue, and one of the most important U.S. sales of the 1850s. The sale contained important pieces and brought $2,198.47, a record at the time. The addenda is scarce. Q.
