Tall 8vo, self-covered as issued. Generally very good or better. Bourne 1870-57. The present lot constitutes most of the issues published under this title. The American Journal of Philately was established in 1868 and was published by the New York Philatelic Society. In 1879, its publication was taken over by Scott & Company, who added "and Coin Advertiser" to the title. In these years, the publication is mostly a vehicle for Scott & Company products.
