L. Manlius Torquatus, 82 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.82 g, 6 h), with L. Cornelius Sulla, military mint moving with Sulla. L•MANLI – PRO Q Head of Roma to right, wearing winged helmet, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. [L•SVLLA•IMP] Sulla driving triumphal quadriga to right, holding branch and scepter: above, Victory flying left, crowning him with laurel wreath. Babelon (Manlia) 7 and (Cornelia) 42. Crawford 367/3. RBW 1384. Sydenham 759. A few light scratches and the reverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, very fine.
