INDIA, Kushan Empire. Vasudeva I, circa 192-225. Dinar (Gold, 22 mm, 7.93 g, 12 h), main mint in Baktria, late phase. ÞAONANOÞAO BAZOΔHO KOÞANO ('King of Kings, Vasudeva Kushan' in Batrian) Vasudeva I standing front, nimbate and head to left, holding trident in his left hand and sacrificing over altar with his right hand; in field to right, nandipada; in field to left, trident with ribbons. Rev. OHÞO Ithyphallic Siva standing front, holding diadem in his right hand and trident in his left; behind, his companion, the bull Nandi, standing left; to upper left, tamgha. ANS Kushan 1092. Göbl, type 640A. Well struck and attractive. A few light scratches, otherwise, good very fine.
