BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Hippostratos, circa 65-55 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 8.81 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Gandhara or the western Pubjab. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ / ΙΠΠΟΣΤΡΑΤΟΥ Diademed and draped bust of Hippostratos to right. Rev. 'Maharajasa tratarasa jayamtasa Hipusratasa' ('of the Great King Hippostratos the Savior, the Conqueror' in Karoshti) Hippostratos on horseback to right; to lower right, monogram. Bopearachchi 3A.
