Penny (Silver, 18 mm, 1.08 g, 9 h), a Scandinavian imitation of a pointed helmet issue, after 1024, uncertain mint. ✠CNVT REX AN Draped and cuirassed bust to right, wearing pointed helmet, holding cross-tipped scepter in his right hand. Rev. Voided short cross with pellet at center, limbs united at base by two concentric circles; in each angle, broken annulet enclosing a pellet. Cf. SCBC 1158 (for prototype). Nicely toned. Somewhat wavy, otherwise, very fine.
