Edward III (1327-1377) - Anglo-Gallic Coinage - Gold Leopard, third issue from July 1357 - Mint: Bordeaux - Obverse: Crowned leopard passant guardant within tressure of 10 arches, star in one spandril, quatrefoils in the other spandrils - Reverse: Floriate cross within quatrefoil, leopards in angles - gr. 3,91 - Very rare. Irregular and lightly crimped flan resulting in peripheral splits, otherwise uniformly struck up, about extremely fine Friedberg 4 (Aquitaine). SCBC 8039
