Gold Proof, the slightest hint of tone in the obverse field otherwise FDC, in the Royal Mint box of issue with certificate number 8 of only 56 pieces issued, with just 50 in this format. This the latest in the Great Engravers Series, featuring the portrait as used on the Gothic Crown of 1847. Another extremely eye-catching large Gold issue in the Great Engravers Series showcasing the designer's craft, and sure to be as popular with collectors as the previous 'Una and the Lion' and 'Three Graces' issues that preceded it.
