SASANIAN KINGS, Ardashir I, 211-224 AD. Æ unit (10.99 gm; 26 mm). obverse, Ardashir's bust with Parthian crown turning right, reverse, stand alone fire altar. SNS-1 Table 2, # 17, 18, 19, Gobl Plate 1 # 20. Nice original brown reddish and earthen patina. Choice VF. Extremely rare in Æ in any condition.
