SASANIAN EMPIRE, Circa 2nd-3rd. Century AD. Large carnelian Stamp Seal (22mm x 20mm x 6mm). Figure turning right, text starting at star counter clockwise, " GTRZ, MWGH, symbol, APZN" (Gotrazes Magi, Apzun - increase the glory of Mobed Goudarz (?). Some minor chipping on reverse, otherwise excellent condition. Finest style, detail and artistry. Extremely rare.
