A note from BCD: If one had to compare the first Triton catalogue of 25 years ago to the current CNG publications, one thing would stand out above all (except of course today's improvements in photography and printing). The estimates in those days were optimistic (high) whereas today's estimates are pessimistic (low). This trend of low estimates seems to gain ground in the current auction catalogues, the results usually justifying the risk takers because of the strength of today's market and the new collectors entering it.
