A note from BCD: Many rare and choice Greek coins have passed through the hands of Fred Knobloch and are illustrated in his lists. Those were the days when a collector would put up his fine Greek coins for sale in a fixed price list and switch to collecting Roman Provincials (then known as Greek Imperials). Or when Fred was able to say in the introduction to a list that "many [of the coins] are not in prime condition" but "this will place a larger number within the reach of our students whose means are limited"!
