A note from BCD: Joel's first auction took place at about the time that Ratto, M+M and Leu were dividing between them the Gillet Greek coins that would not appear in next May's Kunstfreund sale. The "Triumvirate", as it was then known, did not think that the European and US markets could absorb the large quantity of the high-powered Greek coins that would flood them during 1974.
